A Dominican Republic native, Dr. De Peña moved to PR at age 16. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nurse Science from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She went on to complete her medical school training at Universidad Iberoamericana de Santo Domingo, DR.
Dr. De Peña completed her residency training at Hospital Bella Vista , Mayagüez PR. During her final year and a half of residency training, Dr. De Peña served as the Chief Resident of her family medicine program. Her passion and focus is on educating and empowering her patients to be a part of their own healthcare team, encouraging them to learn about their health conditions. For Dr De Peña prevention is better than treatment.
Dr. De Peña enjoys spending time with her family and friends,exploring new restaurants and towns and going to the parks.
